Plans for possible new cable car in Largs explored
Gondola Ventures (GVC) representatives recently visited Largs, Scotland to assess the feasibility of an aerial cable car project. The four-day visit allowed GVC to evaluate the town's landscape and meet with community leaders, including Largs Community Council and local elected officials. VP of Finance Jennifer Toughill noted Largs' "remarkable views" while emphasizing the project is in early due diligence phases. The feasibility study will assess economic, environmental, social, and technical factors. This ambitious idea was originally conceived by former Largs Town Provost Dan Doris in the 1970s.

The Mighty Argo Cable Car will extend 1.2 miles up the mountain, above the historic Argo Mill. Construction of a spectacular sightseeing gondola above Idaho Springs is well under way with high hopes that it will open early next year, if not sooner. Concrete footings for all of the support towers have been poured, and two support structures are already in place near the upper terminal.
